Guidelines for Proposal Submission

Welcome to the 3rd TESOL BD International Conference 2025 (in collaboration with Daffodil International University).
Please follow these guidelines carefully when preparing and submitting your proposal.

 

1. General Instructions

  • Adhere strictly to the prescribed word limits. Submissions exceeding the limit may be rejected.

  • Ensure clarity, accuracy, and grammatical correctness.

  • Use third-person perspective in abstracts and session summaries.

  • Only proposals submitted online will be considered.

 

2. Required Components

Each submission must include the following:

  • Title: Maximum 15 words

  • Abstract: Maximum 200 words

  • Session Summary: 250–300 words

  • Short Bio: Maximum 50 words

 

3. Title (Max. 15 words)

A good title attracts the audience and reflects your presentation accurately.

  • Align it with your abstract.

  • Keep it concise and engaging.

  • Avoid gimmicky or misleading titles.

 

4. Abstract (Max. 200 words)

The abstract will appear in the Conference Program Book.

  • Provide a clear overview of your topic and its importance.

  • Describe what you will do in your session.

  • Conclude with implications of your study.

  • Avoid references, jargon, or undefined technical terms.

Suggested Format:
1–2 sentences introducing your topic and its relevance →
1–2 sentences about what you will do in your session →
Final sentence stating implications.

 

5. Session Summary (250–300 words)

The Conference Review Committee will evaluate your session based on this summary. It will also appear in the Conference Proceedings.

  • For poster proposals: Describe the topic and layout.

  • For presentations/workshops/panels: Detail content, structure, and organization.

  • Do not repeat your title or abstract.

  • Clearly show opportunities for audience participation or engagement.

  • Be prepared to adapt your session length if needed.

 

6. Short Bio (Max. 50 words)

Provide a brief professional bio including your:

  • Affiliation/organization

  • Position or designation

  • Research/teaching interests (if relevant)

 

7. Final Instructions

  • Prepare your title, abstract, session summary, and bio in advance.

  • Proofread for grammar, spelling, and typographical errors.

  • Submit your proposal online before September 15, 2025.

  • Only accepted and presented papers (including virtual sessions) will be published in the Official Conference Proceedings.

  • Include a 300-word summary of your paper for the proceedings (do not use your abstract).
